KANNO Kouta, Ph.D.

Born November 23, 1983, in Sendai, Japan
Japanese National

KANNO Kouta is a researcher in the field of Neuroscience, especially behavioral neuroendocrinology. I have investigated brain systems regulating emotion and behavior. My current research topic is ultrasonic vocalization (USV) in mice.

I believe that biological understanding of human nature could provide people in society with new perspectives from which we could have new ideas when we think what is human beings.

So, I also started science communication activities from 2009 interacting with various fields such as arts, design, sociology, etc…
I have tried to demonstrate elegance, beauty and charm of science that people have difficulty to notice.
